The case load in both hospital together is about 1100 surgeries per year, more than 3.000 lameness examinations and about 500 cases in the fields of internal medicine, neonatology and opthalmology.

The hospital is also equiped with a digital gamma-camera unit, digital radiography, standing MRI, high performance ultra-sound machine, video-endoscopy and shock wave therapy.

All applicants must be DVM or have an equivalent degree in Veterinary Medicine. Preference may be given to individuals with equine experience or credentials in this field.

The intern will work under the supervision of and be supported by Diplomates (ECVS, ECEIM) and recognised specialists. He/she will participate in providing medical and surgical clinical services as well as after hours emergency care. Rotation between the various departments (radiology, anaesthesiology, internal medicine, surgery...) is organised.

Interns will participate actively in the organisation of the hospital. They will also be encouraged to set and meet personal goals such as preparing case reports or scientific presentations.

Starting date : September

Duration of internship : 12 months.

A good knowledge of Dutch, French or English is necessary.
