In order to deal with an increasing equine case load, new diagnostic facilities were built. They include 4 separate suites for clinical exams (3) radiography, ultrasound, video-endoscopy, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear scintigraphy.

There are two outdoor units for the orthopedic exam and a large indoor riding hall. The operating suite contains a preparation room, an induction and recovery box, operation theatre and a separate storage room.

Our computerised file managment system is established on a network with an interface to the DICOM-server an d extensions in every location of the hospital. It ensures a fast access to patient records and to the digitalised patient images of the digital radiology, endoscopy, ultrasound, magnetic resonance and scintigraphy. It provides a quick overview of all hospitalised animals and allows accurate and fast communication between referring veterinary surgeon and clients.

Hospitalisation
There are 25 spacious, safe and well-ventilated boxes for horses. Some are equipped with video-monitoring. There is always at least one veterinary surgeon on the premises for supervision of the hospitalised patients. Horses which are hospitalised for longer periods can be walked or lunged if their condition permits excercise.
